Family Medical Center of Rocky Mount was founded in 1983 by Dr. Richard Michal. With twelve providers; fully accredited laboratory and radiology departments and women's health services, the practice has grown from humble beginnings to the largest family practice in Rocky Mount, NC. Currently owned by Dr. Michal and Dr. Mark Abel, patients can expect a pleasantly, different experience at FMC. Patients will find state of the art technology along with smiling faces and caring providers. We believe in our mission statement and strive to live it each day -- providing friendly patient service in a caring environment. The practice also participates in numerous quality programs including Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). This program is designed to provide the patient with a good experience from the initial phone call, through the office visit and the follow up care and is monitored by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Additionally, FMC believes in giving back. Most of the providers participate in missions trips both in the United States and abroad. The practice participates in Relay for Life & the American Heart Walk. Given the high prevalence of diabetes in eastern NC, the practice also established a diabetes event in Rocky Mount, NC. A full service home oxygen, CPAP, and medical equipment supplier located throughout central and eastern North Carolina. In addition, we provide Ventilators, Support Surfaces, Wound Therapy, Enteral Nutrition, Hospital Beds, Wheelchairs, Power Scooters, Compression Stockings, and Bathroom Safety Aids. We have full retail stores with trained certified fitters for mastectomy products and professionally trained rehabilitation specialists for mobility needs.

O Estúdio é equipado com o melhor existente no domínio digital e analógico: A DAW (digital audio writer) é um sistema AVID pro tools rodando em um Apple IMAC 27"​ I7 de 3,9 GHZ e 32 GB de RAM, Interfaces Universal Audio Apollo 16 e Apollo Twin MKII, uma biblioteca de plugins incrível de marcas consagradas(todos os plugins originais). Na parte analógica pré-amplificadores como SSL, Vintech, BAE e Focusrite entre outros, microfones Neumann, Soyuz, Senheiser, Miktek, Shure e Royer se unem à processadores como o VCA Compressor Smart Research C1LA e o equalizador A-designs Hammer Mk2, fazendo com que o som captado seja gravado com fidelidade e assinatura sonora.
