Fayoum University (Arabic: جامعة الفيوم‎, Jame'at al-fayum) is a public university located in the Egyptian city of Al Fayyum in northern Egypt. In 1975, Faculty of Education in Fayoum was established as one of the faculties affiliated to Cairo University. In 1976, Faculty of Agriculture in Fayoum was established and Faculty of Engineering was established in 1981. In 1983, the presidential decree was issued considering Fayoum branch as an independent branch of Cairo University. Now, the university includes 13 faculties; Education, Agriculture, Engineering, social Work, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Sciences, Tourism and Hotels, Specific Education, Archeology, Medicine, Arts, Computer and Information Sciences, Kindergarten as well as the Technical Institute for Nursing. The university also includes 1800 of faculty members and their assistants teaching 25,000 students.

Fazaia Chain is a galaxy of 38 educational institutions comprising 25 Fazaia and 13 FG Fazaia Schools/Colleges. Among them, 25 Fazaia institutions are self-funded, which were established to impart quality education for the wards of PAF personnel. Whereas, 13 FG Fazaia educational institutions are working as a collaborative venture of Air Headquarters and FGEIs (C/G) Directorate, Rawalpindi. It is highlighted that Limited seats are also offered to the wards of civilians residing in the vicinity of PAF Bases / formations. Fazaia Schools and Colleges offers education from Prep to Intermediate level. It is also heartening to share that GCE ‘O’ Level programme is also being offered at 05 Fazaia institutions (Fazaia Inter College, Islamabad, Fazaia Inter College Nur Khan, Fazaia Inter College Minhas, Fazaia Degree College, Peshawar and Fazaia Degree College, Faisal) In Fazaia Schools and Colleges, academic session commences from April and concludes in March every year. Text books of Oxford University Press are taught in classes Prep to VIII. Board classes of SSC and HSSC levels follow the text books recommended by Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Fazaia institutions are dually affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education as well as Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, etc.
