FINSIA origins go back to 1886, when the AIBF was established by a group of bankers to drive improvements in professional practice and high standards of conduct. Working with key stakeholders including the industry and regulators, FINSIA's purpose continues to be to raise professional standards of competency and conduct in financial services. This supports raising trust and pride for FINSIA members to deliver better community outcomes. It is achieved through education, ongoing professional development and engagement within a professional community. Professional practitioners who are members of FINSIA are required to abide by a Code of Conduct, which is supported by disciplinary processes. Finsif aims at promoting responsible investment taking into account factors related to environment, society, and corporate governance when considering investment decisions. Finsif was founded by a group Finnish investors, asset managers and other investment professionals in 2010 and currently our members represent over 550 billion euros in assets.
