Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) The Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry is an apex Society of entities in the hydrocarbon sector and acts as an industry interface with Government and regulatory authorities. It helps in resolution of issues and evolution of policies and regulations. It represents the industry on Government bodies, committees and task forces and has been submitting recommendations to the Government on behalf of the industry on various issues. It aims to be the most effective and influential voice of the oil & gas industry to facilitate its development as a globally competitive industry in India that enjoys the respect and trust of the society. FIPI IIT ISM Student Chapter is the member organization of FIPI for Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. Before the formation of FIPI, Petrotech ISM chapter was running successfully since 2007. It is aimed at student's all round development and their direct interaction and relation with the Oil and Gas industry. The chapter keeps a special focus on the personal development of its members. JAM sessions, paper presentations, intern and placement talks and other such events are organised regularly to provide ample opportunities to the students to polish their presentations skills along with the knowledge of the industry. The chapters has been achieving number of awards at national level as the token of its member's dedication and talent. Best presentation Award on 6th annual convention of petrotech chapters, Dehradun in the year 2014, best chapter award in 2015, winner of quiz and presentation competition at Petrotech Youth Forum in Dec 2016, New Delhi are few among them.
