The First Nations of Northern Manitoba Child Family Services Authority is responsible for administering and providing for the delivery of Child and Family Services to twenty-seven First Nation communities through six mandated First Nations CFS agencies. The FNS is comprised of a majority of First Nations and Tribal Councils in BC and provides a forum for First Nations in British Columbia to address issues related to Treaty negotiations as well as other issues of common concern. As one of the principals of the treaty negotiation process along with Canada and BC, the First Nations Summit plays an important and ongoing role in ensuring that the process for conducting Treaty negotiations is accessible to all First Nations. However, the Summit does not participate in negotiations at individual treaty tables. Each treaty table is autonomous in its negotations.

First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) is a unique institution, founded in 1976 with the vision of providing Indigenous education to people of all backgrounds. Traditional and contemporary Indigenous knowledge form part of the curriculum across a range of academic disciplines. Through ceremony, specialized activities and services, students learn in a cultural environment designed to promote awareness and respect for First Nations and other Indigenous cultures. Our programs aim to educate, empower and enlighten students. Whether you are an aspiring educator, an emerging artist or an entrepreneur-at-heart, FNUniv has a program for you! As a federated college of the University of Regina, FNUniv students enjoy the benefits of that federation and receive University of Regina certificates, diplomas and degrees. We have three campuses which are located in Prince Albert, Saskatoon and Regina. Our philosophy is that learning is a lifelong process that encompasses all aspects of a person’s well-being.
