ABOUT US The Superior Small Lodging Association (SSL) is a non-profit organization of individually owned small hotels, inns, bed & breakfasts, cottages and luxury condos whose owners/innkeepers are committed to providing each guest with an extraordinary vacation experience. The Superior Small Lodging organization is the nations largest and oldest organization dedicated to serving independent, owner-operated hotels, resorts and inns with 75 rooms or less. Every SSL property is inspected each year for cleanliness and guest services. Our members excellent reviews on TripAdvisor and other review sites are a testament to our innkeepers dedication and commitment to each and every guest. When booking a Superior Small Lodging property our guests experience authentic local Florida charm and character with the modern amenities and comforts that todays traveler has come to expect. HISTORY The Superior Small Lodging Association originated in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1989 to enable travelers to Florida to find those small gems that could offer a unique, authentic Florida vacation experience while giving them the confidence, much like the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval, that they will be staying at a property that has high standards for cleanliness and guest services. Currently there are approximately 150 SSL members in 43 destinations throughout Florida with more members and destinations set to join in the coming year.
