Florida Teachers is dedicated to helping educators get certified to teach in the state of Florida. Our state-approved educator preparation program delivers a solid foundation of teaching skills and strategies necessary to be an effective teacher in todays classrooms. Upon completion of online training coursework and other program requirements, you will receive your Florida Professional Certificate.

Florida Technical College was founded in 1982 to provide post-secondary training in specialized business fields. The main campus in Orlando opened in 1982, followed by the Lakeland campus in 1990, and the DeLand campus in 1997. Classes began at the Kissimmee, Pembroke Pines, and Tampa campuses in 2011, and the Cutler Bay campus opened in 2015. After 35 years of serving Florida’s educational needs, Florida Technical College has merged with NUC University (NUC), which until now had been a sister institution. In addition, NUC brought two other colleges under its umbrella, The Digital Animation & Visual Effects (DAVE) School in Florida and the IBC Technical Division in Puerto Rico, for a combined total of 15 campuses and 20,000 students in both Puerto Rico and Florida. Florida Virtual Campus (FLVC) provides critical educational support services utilized by all public postsecondary institutions within the Florida College System (FCS), State University System (SUS), along with Florida’s K-12 school districts. FLVC provides free programs and resources to help students go to college, succeed in school, and prepare for career success after graduation. Key among those services are the centralized, automated library system used by Florida’s 40 public colleges and universities, support services for statewide higher education distance learning, automated tools for college/career planning, and online transfer options for students. FLVC’s centralized, shared-services model continues to return significant dividends for the state of Florida in the form of greater efficiency, value generation, cost savings, and optimization of college/university staff, capital, and time. The Florida Virtual Campus is currently administered by the Northwest Regional Data Center at Florida State University.
