Stichting Fluvium is op 1 januari 2006 ontstaan uit de bestuurlijkeverzelfstandiging van de scholen voor openbaar onderwijs in de gemeenten West Betuwe en Neder-Betuwe. Ruim 2.000 leerlingen en 240 medewerkers, verdeeld over 19 scholen, vormen samen Fluvium openbaar onderwijs. Door de verzelfstandiging is een grotere organisatie ontstaan, die meer professionaliteit en kwaliteit kan realiseren.
