Götene Vatten & Värme AB ett relativt ungt samhällsföretag som bildades år 2003 och ägs till 100% av Götene kommun. Det tidigare fjärrvärmebolaget Kommunenergi ombildades då genom att verksamheterna Vatten & Avlopp samt Renhållning fördes över till bolaget från kommunen. Företaget har 32 medarbetare och omsätter ca 110 miljoner kr om året. All verksamhet i Götene Vatten & Värme är finansierad via avgifter på de produkter och tjänster som bolaget säljer dvs inga skatteintäkter går till bolagets verksamhet.
