"Good music played well" The Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra is a not for profit company that started performing as a group in 2000. Today the Orchestra covers a territory of all of Northern Lower Michigan with concerts in multiple locations. Under the direction of Maestro Matt Hazelwood the GLCO has grown considerable in its 10 years. Surviving the economic slow-down and coming out stronger than ever the orchestra is one of the areas leading non profit organizations. The orchestra performs between 4 and 6 concert pairs a season. The orchestra also is the sponsor for youth activities such as Day for Music and the Charles Davis Concerto competition.
