L’Ospedale Koelliker nasce nel 1928 per iniziativa dell’industriale torinese Enrico Koelliker, che perse drammaticamente due figli in tenera età. Per oltre quarant’anni l’Ospedale Koelliker è stato un punto di riferimento pediatrico a Torino al quale si sono avvicinate generazioni di bambini e genitori; proprio in quanto originariamente dedicato alla cura dei bambini è noto ai Torinesi come “Ospedalino”. Oggi l’Ospedale è una struttura sanitaria polispecialistica a gestione privata, convenzionata con il Servizio Sanitario Nazionale, che può contare su 125 medici e tecnici sanitari, 260 dipendenti, 150 posti letto e 5 sale operatorie.
