Satlynx was a joint-venture company started in 2001 by SES, Gilat Europe and Alcatel Alenia Space. After many changes it was eventually sold to GE in 2007 and became GE Satcom. In 2012 it was divested from the GE group to become an independent business under the name Signalhorn.
