The Georgia Urban Agriculture Council is Georgia's premier organization for professionals involved in all sectors of the urban agriculture industry, including landscape installation, design and maintenance businesses, turf grass and sod growers, the nursery and horticulture industry, landscape architects, irrigation contractors, green wholesalers,retail garden centers, floriculturists, florists, golf courses and their related businesses. UAC represents one of the largest and most successful industries in Georgia, with more than $8 billion in sales, 7,000 companies and more than 80,000 employees. UAC promotes professionalism, adherence to industry standards and education and serves as a consumer and industry resource for residential and commercial clients. We promote the economic and environmental benefits of urban agriculture to consumers. We work closely with the the University of Georgia College of Agriculture and Environmental Science, the UGA Cooperative Extension Service, the Georgia Center for Urban Agriculture - UGA Griffin, and horticulture educators throughout the state of Georgia. The Georgia Urban Ag Council recently merged with the Metro Atlanta Landscape and Turf Association, the Georgia Turfgrass Association and the Georgia Sod Producers Association.

Georgia-Cumberland Academy (GCA) is a coeducational day and boarding school established in 1964. At GCA, we do more than prepare our students for college. The Georgia-Cumberland Conference of Seventh-day Adventists oversees more than 200 churches, 35 companies, and 39 elementary and high schools located in Georgia, Eastern Tennessee, and Cherokee County in North Carolina. Also within this region are four Adventist hospitals, nine Adventist Community Services Centers, and one Adventist University. There more than 42,600 Seventh-day Adventist members of the Georgia-Cumberland Conference. The conference employs over 400 pastors, teachers, and support staff.
