iDiv is a DFG research centre with about 400 employees and members based primarily in Halle, Jena and Leipzig. Here, researchers from 30 nations establish the scientific basis for the sustainable management of our planet’s biodiversity. Biodiversity refers to the diversity of life - not only species diversity but also genetic diversity, diversity of functions, interactions and ecosystems. We know that our actions dramatically change this diversity: species become extinct, genetic information and entire ecosystems are lost. The network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) consists of 93 bilateral Chambers of Commerce Abroad, Delegations and Representative Offices. In more than 150 countries, the AHK network advises, supports and represents German companies that want to establish or expand their international business. AHKs are institutions of German foreign trade promotion. The German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) coordinates and continuously develops the AHK network. AHKs are proportionately funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

As supreme federal authority the BMDV is responsible for all matters of transport and mobility as well as digital aspects within the Federal Republic of Germany. In Berlin and Bonn 1,300 employees work together in nine departments including Digital Society, Air Transport, Waterways and Shipping, Ground Transport and Road Construction.
