German International School Boston is a bilingual independent school for students from preschool to grade 12. The German International School Washington D.C. is a private, co-educational institution with more than 500 students in preschool through 12th grade, set on a quiet campus in Potomac, MD. Representing more than 20 different nationalities, our student body is truly international, united by a shared interest in German language and culture. The only full-time German day school in Washington, we offer rigorous academics in a warm, multicultural setting. The school has a challenging German curriculum mixed with some American elements. Graduates receive the globally recognized German International Abitur (DIA) as well as a high-school diploma from the state of Maryland. We have two academic focus areas: world languages and science. Students gain fluency in at least two languages and achieve mastery of biology, chemistry, and physics. Our teachers prize critical inquiry, teaching students how—not what—to think. On graduation, they are prepared to enter any prestigious university worldwide. The German International School is accredited by the German Ministry of Education and Maryland Department of Education. The German Jordanian University (GJU) is a public university located in Al-Mushaqqar, Naour, on the Amman-Madaba Western Highway. It is a public university with academic distinction in teaching, research and community service. The university is oriented to the German Fachhochschule model (University of Applied Sciences) in teaching its undergraduate and graduate programs. GJU focuses on providing applied study programs of highest quality. It offers 17 undergraduate programs and six postgraduate (Masters) programs, with a student body of over 3000 students: 15% of which are foreign students and the remaining majority from across Jordan. Many of our programs are unique to the Middle East and Gulf regions such as; Logistics Sciences, Water and Environmental Engineering, Chemical-Pharmaceutical Engineering, Business Informatics, and more. All GJU students are given a 1:1 mix of theoretical and practical training, which positions them as highly skilled, and sought-after graduates upon completion of their studies. Our students spend their fourth year studying at one of our 90+ partner universities in Europe, and completing a 6 month internship with one of our European industry partners. We boast of our state-of-the-art blending facility with the highest international standards of quality, ISO 9001 & 14001 certified factories in Sharjah (UAE), covering an area of 15000 sq.m. Our second factory is located in Pointe-Noire (Congo) and third factory in Galaan (Ethiopia). Our Testing and Research Laboratory is amongst the few ISO 17025 certified labs in the Gulf region.
