It is with deep sadness that Getting on Board must share the news that it is closing its doors and commencing an orderly wind-down of the charity. Despite considerable efforts from the staff, associates and the volunteer board, the reality of an increasingly challenging funding environment for infrastructure charities, coupled with acute resourcing pressures has left no viable alternative but to cease operations. Since the formation of Getting On Board in 2005 we have worked tirelessly in pursuit of our mission to change the face of trusteeship, and we couldn't be prouder of the impact we’ve had on thousands of Trustees, Charities and corporate partners. None of this work would have been possible without the incredible contribution of our small number of staff, our associate network, the volunteers on our Board and beyond, and the support and generosity of our sponsors and funders who have helped make Getting On Board’s mission a reality. While progress has been made, the mission is far from accomplished. We’re keen to hear from any individuals, charities and organisations that wish to pick up the baton and continue the work to make trusteeship more accessible and effective. We are also exploring opportunities to continue the much-anticipated Festival of Trusteeship and will share further updates in due course.
