Since 1977, Gillian’s Place has grown from an 8-bed emergency shelter to a multi-site provider of free and confidential services that support women and children who have experienced abuse. These services encompass a 34-bed emergency shelter, a 24/7 phone or text support line, second stage housing, expert counselling, safety planning, child and youth programs, legal advice and information, education and violence prevention programs, and a transitional housing and support program.
