La Casa di Cura Ulivella e Glicini sorge in un grande parco di piante secolari nella zona ospedaliera di Careggi. Il complesso è composto da due edifici e da un’ampia zona verde. E’ la realtà più rappresentativa di ospedalità privata della Regione Toscana, articolata nelle tre aree fondamentali di Medicina, Chirurgia e Riabilitazione. I “Glicini” sono una struttura dedicata alla riabilitazione ortopedica, cardiologica e neurologica. La Riabilitazione Ortopedica è in gran parte dedicata ai pazienti che vengono operati nel reparto di ortopedia. Nel maggio 2002 è stato attivato il reparto di Riabilitazione Cardiologica per il trattamento di pazienti, anche nel decorso post-chirurgico, in regime di ricovero ordinario, day-hospital e ambulatoriale. Particolarmente sviluppata è la Riabilitazione Neurologica post-acuta di primo livello, titolare del “Progetto Stroke” ritenuto dalla ASL Toscana Centro una importante realizzazione. Questa attività ha avuto un notevole impulso grazie alla collaborazione con l’Istituto Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa, per l’utilizzo sperimentale della robotica nella riabilitazione. All’interno di “Ulivella” sono ospitate, invece, l’Ortopedia (con particolare riguardo alla chirurgia protesica), la Neurochirurgia, la Chirurgia Generale, la Chirurgia Plastica e Ricostruttiva, la Medicina Generale, la Ginecologia, l’Oculistica, l’Otorinolaringoiatria, l’Urologia. In collegamento con queste attività sono stati ampliati i relativi servizi di diagnostica. E’ attivo all’interno del nostro Istituto il primo Sistema CyberKnife® M6TM in Italia, il sesto in Europa. Questo gioiello tecnologico è considerato il sistema più accurato al mondo per i trattamenti di radiochirurgia. Operiamo in sinergia con l’A.O.U.C. Careggi, con l’A.O.
