Girl Scouts is the largest nonprofit organization proven to prepare girls for a lifetime of leadership. Girl Scouts of the USA charters the Girl Scouts of NYPENN Pathways (GSNYPENN) Council to administer the Girl Scout Leadership Experience in 24 counties in New York and two in Pennsylvania. GSNYPENN has a membership of over 14,000 girls in grades K-12 and adult volunteers. We build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place through girl-led experiences, skill-building opportunities, a connection to supportive adults and an inclusive community.

Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan (GSSEM) is a local organization chartered by Girl Scouts of the USA that provides support for Girl Scouting and Girl Scout Troops in Southeastern Michigan. GSSEM proudly serves more than 37,000 girls in Genesee, Lapeer, Macomb, Oakland, Sanilac, and St. Clair Counties as well as parts of Monroe & Wayne County. We have service centers in Clinton Township, Detroit, Flint, Port Huron, and White Lake. Our council is under the leadership of our CEO, Monica Woodson and our Board of Directors. Since the Girl Scout program is girl-driven, reflecting the ever-changing needs and interests of today’s girls, diversity is more important than ever. The unique geography, landmarks and history of southeastern Michigan create amazing opportunities for an exciting Girl Scout experience. Girls can explore the art, museums, theater, dance, music and food that exist in our communities.

To cultivate awareness, enthusiasm and engagement and support for Girl Scouting, the Council and the various opportunities within Girl Scouting.

Girl Scouts of the Commonwealth of Virginia,(GSCV) is one of 4 councils for the state of Virginia, and serves more than 9,000 girls and 5,700 adults in 30 counties and the cities of Emporia, Richmond, Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Fredericksburg, and Petersburg. Girl Scouts experience six different age levels which allow girls to progress in skills and activities together. Placement options give girls the chance to experience Girl Scouting in a variety of ways – including but not limited to, church, school, housing communities, and individually.

Every girl has unique potential, but extraordinary barriers prevent her from fully reaching it. In a nationwide overall well-being index created about girls, our service area ranks 42 out of 50 states. The index measures girls'​ physical health and safety, economic security, education, emotional health, and access to extracurricular activities. Girl Scouts is the largest and most successful organization focused on developing girls into capable community leaders. Girl Scouts can make all the difference in the life of a girl, no matter who she is or where she lives. And girls need Girl Scouts now more than ever before.

Through leadership-building programs, GSWESTOK offers girls pathways to explore their interests -- including STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), healthy lifestyles and activities like our High Adventure Team and summer camps, community service projects through our Bronze, Silver and Gold Award programs, environmental stewardships and more. Since forming locally in 1935, more than 375,000 girls have benefited from Girl Scouts.
