Global Chemical Company L.L.C. (GCC) was established as a chemical manufacturing facility in Abu Dhabi in September 2009. The computerised manufacturing plant produces premium quality Sodium Asphalt Sulphonate, also known as sulphonated asphalt, which is widely used as a shale stabilizer and fluid loss reducer in oil and gas well drilling operations. A new batch manufacturing liquid reaction and blending plant produces a variety of in-house developed and formulated specialty chemicals used in drilling, completion, acid stimulation fluids operations, and oilfield in general, such as corrosion inhibitors, lubricants, defoamers, surfactants, etc. The company continually strives to develop new chemistry for the oilfield to satisfy client and the market requirements. Our in-house development, formulation and manufacturing expertise enables us to respond quickly to customer requirements. GCC also offers contract & toll manufacturing, blending, etc. with our new Glass-Lined and Stainless Steel reactors and blending capabilities, and additionally packaging, private labelling and warehousing services to major chemical companies in the UAE. The plant is located in Abu Dhabi’s Industrial Area ICAD 1 and occupies approximately 30,000 square meters. Storage facilities for all raw materials and products have been incorporated, including bulk storage facilities for key raw materials and intermediates. The plant was designed and manufactured using international companies experienced in the delivery of such projects. GCC is committed to provide the technology and highest level of quality to meet industry standards and specifications and is accredited to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018, as well as being approved by several major oil production companies in the region. GCC is able to customise product formulations to meet the needs of drilling fluid service companies, producing specific products and packages to their bespoke requirements.

Global is the largest privately owned surface miner contractor in the world and has been at the forefront of the development of surface mining; helping to deliver lower mining costs, and providing major safety and environmental benefits for mining operations. Global Civil & Mining: Global Civil and Mining is an integrated civil and mining services group providing surface mining, mine site construction, surface miner rebuilds, road construction and stabilisation services. Global Civil and Mining was started in 2004 by Managing Director, Peter Blackburn, with a single road profiler operating from Perth in Western Australia. Not before long, Peter expanded into the surface mining sector with great success and eventually ventured into the fields of stabilisation and machine rebuilds. Global Civil and Mining’s four divisions work collaboratively to provide customers with tailored solutions for every project.

Global Climbing is a Dubai based company that supplies adventure sports and industrial working at height equipment; and provides full life support to adventure and active leisure facilities. Our business activities are conducted through four main business areas. As the GCC representative of around twenty international brands we supply the major multisport stores and specialist outdoor retailers with high quality outdoor equipment that ranges from kayaks, camping, climbing, cycling and adventure travel. In addition we operate two e-commerce sites; www.yallaoutdoor.com and www.frontiersports-me.com, which offer our own and other international and local brands. Our B2B side is focused on supply of PPE, ropes, rescue equipment and accessories to the working at height industry, Government agencies and building maintenance operations. We are also supply adventure sports equipment to outdoor activity and leisure providers, FEC operators and as well as theme parks and hotels. In support to the development and operation of successful adventure and active leisure facilities we have extensive expertise and experience in project feasibility studies and modelling, running projects from initiation to the end. We are partnered with international suppliers of indoor climbing walls (Walltopia), mountain bike parks (we install), trampoline and skate park facilities. As an example we worked extensively on Hatta adventure and recreation development plan through to the operation of the mountain bike component of the Hatta Hub. We also operate our own climbing (bouldering) gym, Rock Republic which is the regions’ largest bouldering gym and is a hub for the local climbing community. We offer training and coaching programmes for beginners, youth, adults and experienced climbers as well a venue for birthday parties and more corporate events.
