GLS University has been established with the objective of providing an ideal and creative learning environment and continuing the tradition of excellence in education of the sponsoring body of the University, viz., Gujarat Law Society (GLS) Gujarat Law Society, established in the year 1927, is one of the largest and oldest educational institutions in the State of Gujarat. GLS was promoted by luminaries SardarVallabhbhai Patel, Shri Ganesh Mavlankar, the first Speaker of the country and Shri I.M. Nanavati with the vision of Excellence in Education. Since its inception, GLS took a pioneering role by offering programmes in several disciplines such as Business Management, Computer Technology, Commerce, Business Administration, Education, Law and Humanities etc. All the courses being offered at GLS have been having high preference and acceptance in the student community as well as in the corporate fraternity.

Lange termijn denken en efficiënt samenwerken met de individuele bedrijven van het consortium is essentieel voor het goed uitvoeren van de complexe (meerjaren) opdracht. Continue betrouwbare levering van gas, volledige veiligheid voor de werknemers, milieu en omgeving zorgen voor het spanningsveld waarin GLT-PLUS opereert. Daarnaast dienen de individuele belangen van de partners van het consortium en de bedrijfsresultaten continu in ogenschouw te worden genomen. Integrale kwaliteitszorg zorgt voor borging van het kwaliteitsniveau, waarbij zoeken naar verbeteringen voorop staat bij GLT-PLUS ( de lerende organisatie). GLT-PLUS heeft er bewust voor gekozen om te opereren vanuit één operationele vestiging in Sappemeer. Een gedeelte van het personeel wordt geleverd vanuit de partnerbedrijven, tevens wordt er ook veelvuldig gebruik gemaakt van lokale resources. Momenteel zijn er zo’n 500 personen, vanuit de operationele vestiging, de partner offices of op de lokaties, werkzaam voor GLT-PLUS.
