Was 1930 mit dem Ehepaar Schmidiger und einer einfachen Getränkeabfüllerei im alten Kurhaus im Gontenbad begann, ist heute ein Unternehmen mit rund sechzig Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern. Wasser ist seit jeher eine der wertvollsten Ressourcen des Appenzellerlands. Von diesem Reichtum zeugen die zahlreichen Quellen und Bäche. Viele Ortsnamen wie Wasserauen, Weissbad, Jakobsbad und Gontebad weisen auf die Heilbäder-Tradition der Region hin. Im 18. und 19. Jahrhundert wurde das quellenreiche Voralpengebiet für seine Bade- und Molkekuren bis weit über die Schweizer Grenze hinaus bekannt. Dank dem kostbaren Mineralwasser, das am Rand des Gontner Hochmoors zutage tritt, schrieb auch das Gontebad ein Kapitel Appenzeller Kurgeschichte. 1576 wurde der kleine Weiler bei Appenzell erstmals als Badeort erwähnt. Um 1740 beschrieb ihn die "Neue Appenzeller Chronik"​ als berühmtestes Bad in Innerrhoden. Nach dem Rückgang des Fremdenverkehrs begannen Josef und Hedwig Schmidiger um 1930 Mineralwasser aus der eigenen Quelle in Flaschen abzufüllen. Zu einer Zeit, als der Genuss von Tafelwasser noch ein seltener Luxus war, erwisen sich die Grosseltern der heutigen Firmeninhaberin als Pioniere. Sie tüftelten Rezepte für Limonaden und Liköre aus, mit denen sie sich auf dem regionalen Markt etablierten. Dreissig Jahre später übernahmen Tochter Rita und ihr Mann Josef Manser die Mineralquelle Gontenbad. Seit 1999 führt Gabriela Manser den Familienbetrieb in der dritten Generation weiter. Dank Investitionen in moderne Produktionsanlagen, der Entwicklung neuer Geschäftszweige wie die Goba Manufaktur und mit einzigartigen Produkten wie Flauder und Flauder iisfee hat sich die Goba AG als KMU einen festen Platz unter den Getränkeherstellern erobert.

On top of that, according to FCI(Food Corporation Of India), 16% of perishable products(Fruits and Vegetables) are being wasted every year. To overcome this we created a model which will reduce the wastage all over India as well as deliver fresh produce to Retail and Customer in lower Price as possible. We are collecting data-points that will help farmer to harvest crops and produce depending upon the demand, which will reduce the wastage in large amount.
