Holtex a été créée en 1980 avec comme objet, la fabrication et la commercialisation dinstruments de chirurgie. Elle est dailleurs encore à ce jour, le leader français de linstrumentation de chirurgie. En 2000, Holtex sinstalle à Aix-en-Provence dans des locaux plus grands, plus modernes qui lui permettent dintégrer de nouvelles familles de produits venant ainsi compléter loffre produits : Famille Diagnostic, Mobilier Médical, Pesée... En 2004, Holtex poursuit son développement en intégrant dans son portefeuille de nouvelles marques. Elle devient ainsi le distributeur officiel de la marque japonaise OMRON, un poids lourd du secteur qui donnera à lentreprise une reconnaissance et une notoriété au niveau national. En 2014, Holtex déménage pour des locaux plus grands encore, composés de 2600m2 dentrepôts et 600m2 de bureaux, situés à Aix-en-Provence, dans la zone dactivité des Milles. Holtex commercialise lintégralité de ses produits par lintermédiaire de distributeurs de Matériel Médical. A ce jour, Holtex dispose de plus de 1500 distributeurs actifs. 70% du CA est réalisé sur le territoire français, 30% à lexport. Holtex a mis en place une démarche de management de la Qualité (certifications, marquage CE, dispositifs médicaux). Cette politique marque la volonté dassurer une écoute et un service à la hauteur des attentes des clients, ainsi que le respect des exigences réglementaires. La société est certifiée ISO 13485, et elle a été agrée en 2018 OEA-FULL (Label de sécurité, sûreté et de simplification douanière). En 2019 Holtex et Spengler se rapprochent pour créer un groupe de premier plan sur le marché français du matériel médical avec un positionnement unique de Fabricant-Importateur-Distributeur.
