Horan Rainsford Architects was formed in April 2008 by Tony Horan and Brian Rainsford, following the successful collaboration on a number of commercial and housing developments. The Practice undertakes all types of work, from private domestic commissions to large-scale commercial developments. The principals have a long history of work in all building sectors, but with a particular expertise in housing, with numerous projects having been honoured with major RIAI and RIBA awards. Although the practice is, in its current form, relatively new, it embodies a very substantial fund of experience. In all, the practice’s principals have completed residential projects containing in excess of 1,550 dwellings, as well as a substantial body of work in the fields of inner city urban renewal, retail, offices, sport and leisure, industrial, education, hotels, fitting out/interior design and product design. Our approach has always been, and continues to be, the practical application of design excellence, through careful attention to detail, commercial awareness and the fostering of close working relationships with our clients.
