HorseSpirit Arts Gallery is an eclectic, up-lifting collection of the original creations of over 50 local Artists whose work includes: Paintings, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Photography, Glass & Mosaics, Jewelry, Ceramics, Woodworking, and Fiber & Wearable Art. HorseSpirit Arts’ name is based on my strong belief in the healing power of connection with animals, and horses in particular. HorseWorld is a charity dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, neglected and mistreated horses, ponies and donkeys. HorseWorld began as The Friends of Bristol Horses Society, in 1952, and to this day the organisation has been run by passionate and dedicated people to the cause of Equine Welfare. The charity also runs the innovative Discovery educational programme. Discovery programme helps children and young people who, for various reasons, have difficulties accessing mainstream education. Through sessions with specially selected rescued horses, the young people develop the skills needed to build resilience, improve communication skills, find their confidence and self-belief, and as a result better cope with the challenges of life.

Horsham Matters Ltd is a social enterprise set up by Horsham Churches Together with a focus on delivering projects that provide practical support to those who are in need in the local area. We are committed to helping those who are unable for whatever reason to help themselves. We do not make any judgement on why someone is in the situation they are but aim first to meet their practical needs and then working with partner organisations to help them with any wider issues. In partnership with the Parish and Neighbourhood Councils we are delivering community based youth work across the Horsham District. We also provide the Horsham Young Person Advocacy Service and support the Youth Support Team, working with young people in parks and open spaces during summer evenings. We are supporting the YMCA in delivering an alcohol education programme and are also working with them to deliver an apprenticeship programme to offer training opportunities. to young people. Our work is funded through income generated by sales of donated furniture, electrical items (both white goods and other items) and household goods (including bric-a-brac, linens, books, toys and games) from our Community Charity Centre in Guildford Road and kids store in East St, Horsham. We are able to provide any of these goods as well as baby equipment to anyone on a lower income and as part of the Local Assistance Network can also provide food, fuel key top-ups and emergency travel vouchers.
