A HOS nasceu como Software House de uma rede de farmácias familiar, em 1994. A necessidade de informatizar os processos operacionais e gerenciais e também desenvolver e administrar um banco de dados levou os proprietários a contratar serviços de programação terceirizados. A partir daí as dificuldades aumentaram, pois as linguagens eram totalmente diferentes e os resultados demoravam a aparecer.
