Started in 2004 by internationally renowned surgeon Mr Jeff Ecker, the Hand & Upper Limb Centre provides best practice therapy, research, support and training for all things hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Our highly qualified and experienced therapists practice in the non-surgical assessment and management of hand, wrist, elbow, and upper limb injuries and disorders. We work closely with a variety of health professionals, including surgeons, general practitioners, physiotherapists and other allied health professionals, to develop the most suitable program for your injury or condition. Our OTs have extensive experience working with a variety of patients - from professional and recreational athletes, complex workers'​ compensation cases, catastrophic industrial and motor vehicle accidents, general rehabilitation, to aged care patients. Treatment methods include splinting, exercise, wound care and other non-invasive techniques, as well as joint mobilisations, stretching, and active and resisted exercises to assist in the recovery from injury, surgical operations and hand disorders. All therapists are members of the Australian Hand Therapy Association (AHTA) and participate in regular education and professional development to ensure patients receive the most up-to-date and evidence based treatment techniques and care.
