Founded October 17, 1985 by a few surfers in Huntington Beach, the club became a registered 501c3 charity in 2001. The organization represents a contingency of local surfers with a long record of giving back to the community. These surfers know how to balance time between work and play so that a good example is seen. The Longboard Crew's goal is to have fun while generating funds and providing services for worthy causes. Member's ages range under 10 to over 75 years old. Our members are well traveled and take excursions to remote areas of the world. When we get together it's normally just for fun in Surf City. The Longboard Crew helped found a coalition of surf clubs that is celebrating many years of charitable work up and down the coast. These surf clubs host tournaments, monthly meet-ups, amateur surf teams for the Coalition of Surf Club events and other events for their members.
