Happy Child International is an organisation that champions the rights of the most at risk children and teenagers in the deprived areas of Belo Horizonte and Recife in Brazil and Lubango, Angola. Since its inception in 1993, 11,500 children’s lives have been transformed because of Happy Child and their mission to support and protect. The charity strives to counter the devastating effects of child poverty and abuse by rescuing children from the streets, where possible reintegrating them with their families and communities, working in the favelas to prevent child exploitation and rehabilitating abused children through work in its project homes. 3 main areas of the work of Happy Child:- - Advocacy & Global Campaigning (UK) - Child & Family Care (Brazil & Angola, Africa) - Research & Advisory Happy Child's Advocacy and Global campaigning services, in parliament in London on behalf of neglected and exploited children and adolescents. In February 2014 it launched the global IT'S A PENALTY Campaign against child exploitation during the World Cup 2014 with Jubilee Campaign, the A21 Campaign and supported by international footballers David Luiz, Frank Lampard, Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer, as well as the National Crime Agency, Europol, the European Government, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the Football Association, British Airways, the British Prime Minister and the Brazilian Government. Happy City Lab collabore avec des villes, des festivals, des musées, des marques et entreprises, des salons et conférences. Happy City Lab réunit de grandes foules lors d’événements publics d’envergure tels que l’organisation de la Fête officielle de nouvel-an de la Ville de Genève avec installations lumineuses interactives; l’organisation de Fêtes nationales ou de CinéTransat -  expérience collective du cinéma en plein air). Happy City lab imagine et crée également des installations monumentales pour des événements urbains autour de la lumière ou de la musique tels que Turn Me On - des interrupteurs géants allumant des oeuvres sur des façades - ou Street Light Orchestra - une installation artistique sonore où les sons des différentes familles d’instruments d’une œuvre classique sont diffusés séparément. It was founded in 2015, based on the need for computer science education for children and teenagers.
