Thanks to our biomass power plants and our hydroelectric power plant, with which we harness the power of the Sims River, we are energy self-suppliers and can supply 8,000 households with electricity in addition to our production. Harokopio University of Athens is a public university dedicated to promoting research and learning in well focused set of intellectual areas. The university, originates from an educational institution that was first established in 1929 and gained University status in 1990. It takes its name from the national benefactor Panagis Harokopos.
