Haverfield Aviation, Inc. is the leading provider of innovative aerial power line inspection, maintenance, repair and construction support services in the North American electric utility industry. The company’s mission statement, “Haverfield is Growth with Strength and Honor”, is the hallmark of Haverfield’s operational success. Over the past 35 years Haverfield has influenced the utility industry by expanding the field of helicopter application to the electric power grid. Our experienced pilots and lineman enable Haverfield to provide detailed inspection, live-line maintenance and construction support for transmission lines and structures at production rates that far surpass conventional methods through the utilization of a helicopter that not only increases the speed of response, but the time it takes to complete a project is also significantly reduced. As environmental concerns continue to move to the forefront, Haverfield’s minimal environmental impact is a guaranteed added benefit, as helicopters are able to more easily access environmentally sensitive areas, rugged terrain and other topographically challenged areas.
higher education
Haverford is one of America's leading liberal arts colleges, a close-knit intellectual community that combines the Quaker values of dignity, tolerance and respect with a rigorous academic program. Guided by the student-run Honor Code–one of the oldest in the country–Haverford students demonstrate an awareness for the greater good in how they work, study, socialize, debate and resolve conflict. Our students are entrusted with freedom and responsibility from their first days on campus—an act of trust that aims to develop the whole person and create a lasting bond between the individual and the institution.
For 130 years, Havergal has provided young women with an exceptional education in an environment that encourages both inquiry and curiosity, and celebrates community. In 1894, Havergal’s founding principal, Ellen Knox, defined the school’s mission with the question she posed to her students -- “What are you going to do?” That question continues to guide Havergal and its students through the challenges that come from a constantly changing world. Its influence is evident in our students and graduates to this day: women making a difference for good in the world by living their lives with purpose and as involved citizens.
