Since 1993, Frederick Habitat has built or renovated 44 homes, transforming the lives of adults and children in our County. We have mobilized more than 4,500 volunteers, and trained partner families in budgeting, home repair, safety and maintenance. Habitat homes are scattered throughout Frederick County, in communities like Middletown, Brunswick, Frederick City, Thurmont, Emmitsburg and Buckeystown. In addition to building affordable housing, Frederick Habitat is a designated Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative affiliate. Frederick Habitat serves local neighborhoods by responding to community aspirations with an expanded array of products, services, and local partnerships that empower residents to revive their neighborhoods and enhance their quality of life. Concerned and motivated people from all walks of life have come together to make Habitat homes a reality in Frederick County. Churches, businesses and individuals volunteer to support our mission. These dedicated volunteers raise funds, build or improve homes, work with partner families, serve on committees and help with administrative work. Volunteers are the heart and soul of Habitat.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati is a non-profit Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate substandard housing by building and renovating simple, decent, affordable homes to sell to low-income families in need. Since 1986, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati has built, renovated or repaired more than 550 homes throughout a nine county region in the Tri-State area including Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren counties in Ohio; Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky; and Dearborn and Ohio counties in Indiana. We are dedicated both locally and globally to construct, rehabilitate and preserve homes; advocate for fair and just housing policies; and provide training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami builds and renovates safe, affordable homes for families in need. Our partner families work over 250 hours of “sweat equity” (volunteer hours) building their home and the homes of their soon-to-be neighbors. These families purchase their homes at cost and with a 0% interest loan. We engage people of conscience within our community by providing opportunities for both volunteer and financial support to accomplish the building of homes and communities in partnership with low-income families.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Newburgh is dedicated to providing safe, decent, affordable housing in partnership with hardworking families in need. Reaching across religious, cultural, and racial boundaries, we seek to restore a sense of community with the common goal of strong neighborhoods and dignity through home-ownership. Habitat succeeds in reintroducing into neighborhoods the most basic building block of any community - the homeowner. Habitat provides resources, guidance, and hope to aspiring families. These families work from within their neighborhoods, creating the change we all seek, and repaying the investment that we have made in them. Habitat Newburgh serves as the general contractor on all its rehabilitation and new construction projects. By using volunteer labor and many donated materials, Habitat is able to do what no other government or corporate entity can do--leverage and multiply every dollar raised and every ounce of energy donated. Our home-ownership program has become a critical part of a comprehensive solution to the crisis of poverty housing in the Greater Newburgh area. By working together--volunteers, corporations, congregations, individual supporters, and homeowner families--the cycle of poverty housing can be broken, neighborhoods rebuilt, and communities revitalized.

Since 1987, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Providence has been an independently chartered affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), the largest nonprofit homebuilder worldwide. Locally, our mission is dedicated to building decent, affordable housing with families that live in substandard and unaffordable housing and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Our vision is seeing that all residents of the Greater Providence area live in decent, affordable homes. Globally, our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City is a 501(c)(3)organization working to strengthen families and communities by increasing the number of quality, affordable homes for single-family residents in the Greater Kansas City area. We endeavor to create opportunities for low-income families to develop equity and independence through homeownership. We believe in building strength, stability and self-reliance through affordable shelter. Since 1979 we have built, renovated, or repaired more than 700 homes in Wyandotte, Leavenworth and Johnson counties in Kansas, and Clay, Platte and Jackson counties in Missouri. In addition to providing affordable housing, Habitat KC also helps thousands of families through our financial literacy and HOPE programs.

The ultimate goal of Habitat for Humanity is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the face of the earth by building adequate and basic housing. Furthermore, all of our words and actions are for the ultimate purpose of putting shelter on the hearts and minds of people in such a powerful way that poverty housing and homelessness become socially, politically and religiously unacceptable in our nation and world. Mission: Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Company Overview: Northwest Indiana Habitat for Humanity was formed in July 1986. To date, there are over 56 Habitat homes located in Lake County, Indiana. Building on donated land, with donated funds and constructed with volunteer labor, our mission is to provide affordable housing opportunities to those in need. The ReStore opened in March 2005 at 6114 W. Ridge Road in Gary and will help to make building projects possible. A Habitat ReStore is a retail outlet recycling overstocked, discontinued, new and used building materials, appliances and gently used home furnishings donated by manufacturers, store contractors and individuals. These donated items are sold at a fraction of normal prices to the public. All revenue from sales goes to the local affiliate in support of its building program.

Habitat for Humanity of Oakland County works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses, so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and can live and grow into all that God intends.

Habitat for Humanity partners with people in your community, and all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage.
