Helsinki-based sports club IFK Helsinki started an esports project in November 2016 by founding a team that competes in Overwatch, a Blizzard Entertainment game published in the spring of 2016. Our goal is to become one of the leading brands in esports and to provide our players with a caring environment to enable them to achieve their goals in esports. The original Helsinki REDS Overwatch team was assembled by team manager Christer Kasurinen and the first team captain Roope Ruape Kurkela. During the fall of 2016, they gathered a tight-knit group of players committed to working hard and growing together to become a team that is competitive in Overwatch on an international level. In the fall of 2017, the Helsinki REDS announced an expansion into Dota 2 with our first roster for the game. The Helsinki REDS is operated by a limited company based in Finland and owned by Oy HIFK-Hockey Ab, which also operates the professional ice hockey club IFK Helsinki.

HELSINKI SEAGULLS The Helsinki Seagulls are a mens pro basketball team based in Helsinki, Finland. The team was founded in 2013. In the 2017-2018 season the club competes in the top Finnish League (The Korisliiga - www.korisliiga.fi). The Seagulls aim to provide Helsinki basketball fans and juniors the region's best basketball and to offer a career path to the top level for the most promising juniors.
