Since 1937 the Historical Society of Palm Beach County has collected, preserved, and shared the county’s history. The HSPBC reaches hundreds of thousands of Palm Beach County’s young people, residents, and visitors through its archival collections, the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum in West Palm Beach’s historic 1916 Courthouse, and community and education programming. ABOUT THE RICHARD AND PAT JOHNSON PALM BEACH COUNTY HISTORY MUSEUM The Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum enriches the lives of children and adults alike by making local history accessible, interesting, and meaningful. The museum contains two second-floor interactive, permanent exhibits—The People Gallery and The Place Gallery—and a Rotating Exhibit Gallery. The free museum, in the historic 1916 Courthouse at 300 North Dixie Highway, is open Monday through Friday, 10 am - 5 pm; and Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm.

HistoriCorps is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides volunteers of all skill levels with a hands-on experience preserving historic structures on public lands across America. Our mission is to foster a preservation ethic by engaging volunteers in saving historic places. Volunteers and youth work with HistoriCorps field staff to learn preservation skills and put those skills to work saving historic places that have fallen into disrepair. HistoriCorps works to ensure America’s cultural and historical resources exist for generations to come. HistoriCorps is a service learning partner of the U.S. Forest Service, Department of Agriculture committed to the preservation and stewardship of significant resources on public lands.

Historisch Goud is onderdeel van de gemeentelijke organisatie van Heerlen. Binnen deze gemeente zijn drie culturele instellingen actief op het gebied van cultuurhistorisch erfgoed. Het betreft twee historische musea - Kasteel Hoensbroek en Thermenmuseum Heerlen - en een regionale archiefdienst: Rijckheyt, centrum voor regionale geschiedenis. De beide musea maken deel uit van de afdeling Historische Musea. Samen met Rijckheyt vormen zij een cultuurhistorisch bedrijf, Historisch Goud. Gezamenlijk staan zij voor 2000 jaar geschiedenis.
