The Institute for Futures Studies is an independent research foundation for interdisciplinary research on issues that are of great importance for how we shape our future society. Our current research program “Which future? Challenges and choices for the 21st century” comprises five overlapping themes. They are all interdisciplinary and involves researchers from several disciplines, including philosophy, political science, sociology, law, computer science, economics and demographics. The intention is to produce policy-relevant results by combining theoretical ideas with empirically oriented research. The themes are "Our responsibility towards future generations"​, "Democracy in the 21st century"​, "New technologies and the future of humanity"​, "Discrimination, sexism and racism"​ and "Equality"​. THE INSTITUTE STORY: In late 2004, after many years in private practice specializing in the social and emotional development of girls, Dr. Melissa Johnson launched the Institute for Girls’ Development. Today, the Institute has expanded to a team of therapists with a vast variety of specializations. We are culturally, linguistically, and theoretically diverse professionals who share vision, passion, and varied expertise in delivering our clinical, educational, assessment, and training programs. SERVICES OFFERED: Our individual, group, and family psychotherapy services combine with our empowerment-based educational workshops for girls, teens and parents, allowing us to serve hundreds of girls each year and their families. Parents, grandparents, and other kin are involved at the Institute through our workshops, therapy, and skills groups. While most of our clients come from the San Gabriel Valley region, we have families who travel from as far as Claremont and Santa Clarita for the unique opportunities here. TRAINING OFFERED: Our most recent program launch is our Training Institute. Our Training Institute is a part of our initiative to share expertise with fellow professionals in mental health, education, and organizations serving girls and women. In creating this community for learning, growth, and diversity, we hope to challenge ourselves and others to think deeply, creatively, empirically and to act boldly. Our training model incorporates what we call experiential and embodied learning, drawing on strength-based and mindfulness approaches in a relational context. Trainings and consultations are available for mental health professionals, educators, and community program providers throughout the country. It is with great gratitude that we do this work and share this story. We are indebted to so many who have supported our vision and been our gracious teachers.

The Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis (IGPA) at the University of Canberra was established in January 2014 to harness the research strengths of the former ANZSOG Institute for Governance (ANZSIG) and the National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling (NATSEM). The Institute conducts interdisciplinary research in governance and policy analysis to deepen theory, advance knowledge and improve practice, in a way that is of significance to scholars and practitioners in Australia and internationally. The core aim of IGPA is to create and sustain a world class research institution for the study and practice of governance and public policy. The integration of ANZSIG and NATSEM has created exciting opportunities for the development of cutting edge research in public policy analysis through combining expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods, evaluation, micro-simulation and policy modelling.

The Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) is the HR professional body, set up by the tripartite partners: the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF). IHRP is the only HR professional body in Singapore authorised to implement the national HR credentials, which is known as the IHRP Certification. IHRP has the goal of setting the HR standards of excellence and enabling human capital development in enterprises. Through the IHRP Certification, IHRP aims to enhance the competencies of HR professionals, as well as create developmental and professional pathways for them. This will professionalise and strengthen the HR profession practice in Singapore, allowing HR professionals to be key enablers in their organisations. Our 15-member board of directors come from diverse backgrounds. The Chairperson is Mrs Deborah Ong, Retired Partner, PwC Singapore. Why IHRP? Against the backdrop of rapid business disruption, it is essential that organisations develop their human capital, so they can be future-ready and thrive amid economic shifts. HR is the enabler that will help organisations rise to meet this challenge. But for it to be successful, HR must itself be future-ready. It must focus on maximising human capital and contribute to business growth. IHRP aims to equip HR professionals and their organisations with progressive and forward-looking people practices to meet this challenge.

The Institute for Human Services, Inc. (IHS) is a non-profit advocate serving the Southern Tier. Our goal is to support our member organizations through: • Capacity building, governance, and operations support • Strategic collaboration & communication between member and non-member organizations • Professional development and conferences aimed at organizational sustainability • Coordination of programs and services that enhance the capacity for other organizations The Institute for Human Services works together with our members, other non-profits, funders, government entities, and community leaders to create a network of collaboration and communication aimed at improving the quality of life in the Southern Tier. We believe that success is achievable when organizations are able to break out of their silos and are given the right tools to meet a common goal. Our focus is on the good of the community. IHS provides services such as the 2-1-1 HELPLINE, Steuben Rural Health Network, Coordinated Transportation Services, Resource Development, and Lead Agency Services as a capacity building, information, and referral opportunity for our member organizations. IHS is a 501(c)(3) local association that provides a united voice for the non-profit sector and serves as a unique support and information provider.
