All women are not all alike, but what we have in common bonds us - like seeking reliable and credible healthcare, and the need for self-care and overall information to enhance our well-being. This is where the Institute for the Advancement of Women’s Health comes in. We focus on sharing evidence-based tools and information on priority women’s health issues through the lens of a public health research framework. IAWH advances women’s health through disease prevention and health promotion efforts in our local community and national and international settings. Our aim is to reduce the number of devastating health-related stories from women through sharing relevant and current research that informs our health care decision-making. IAWH partners with women, and collaborate with experts and advisors from community-based organizations, public health departments, colleges, and universities to promote holistic care, cultivate research, and uplift the culture of the essence of being a woman to advance women’s health, together. IAWH’s uses evidence-based research to inform its priority areas, and is guided, but not limited by, HHS Healthy People 2030 guidelines that include: • Increase the proportion of women who are aware of and that seek appropriate evidence-based clinical preventive services and screenings (especially breast, cervical cancer, and sexually transmitted diseases). • Increase the number of women who aim to engage their clinicians in conversations about their health (shared decision-making). • Increase the mental and physical health-related quality of life of women with a focus on loneliness, cancer survivors, and work/life balance. • Provide gynecologic education. • Provide education and training on evidence-based holistic methods for reducing chronic disease and comorbidities in women.

The Institute for the Redesign of Learning’s story began in 1974 when its founder, Dr. Nancy J. Lavelle, created the Almansor Education Center with four students in classroom space located in a church on Almansor Street in Alhambra. With a belief that every student has the ability to “take charge” of their own learning process, Dr. Lavelle established a unique environment, flexible curriculum and appropriate support services so that these students could thrive. Now over forty years later, the Almansor Center, under the umbrella of the Institute, offers five programs that are designed to provide a continuum of care for individuals with special needs and annually serves over 3,700 children, students and clients throughout the greater Los Angeles and San Gabriel Valley communities. These programs include: Almansor Early Childhood Education Services, Almansor Community Outreach Services, the Almansor Academy (a Non-Public Special Education Day School), Almansor Mental Health Services and Almansor Transition and Adult Services/Employment Services. The Institute’s newest undertaking is the Westmoreland Academy (a Non-Public Special Education Day School for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders) located in Pasadena. Our mission is simple: to empower individuals with special needs to take charge of their own learning and lives, making it possible for them to be competent, caring and contributing members of society; and to provide learning opportunities for families and professionals to support those efforts. As a team of a committed students/clients, parents and caregivers, professional and support staff, board members and community supporters, we are working together in a profound endeavor that has supported the success of thousands of individuals with special needs throughout the course of over four decades—a mission we look forward to continuing for decades to come.

he Institute for Parallel Processing (IPP) at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences has a leading position among the scientific institutions in Bulgaria in the fields of Information and Communication Technologies. The activities of IPP are oriented mainly to development and usage of advanced mathematical and computer technologies. The scientific strategy of IPP involves the development of new high-performance algorithms for parallel computers with shared and distributed memory, including clusters of workstations, distributed systems, tools for network security monitoring and management, etc.

The Institute For Vocal Advancement (IVA) is an organization that offers both exceptional vocal education and a certification program for professional singing instructors worldwide. At IVA, we seek to train singers and teachers of singing how to use their voices to their full potential in the healthiest and most efficient way. We also seek to educate and produce the finest voice instructors in the world, by developing, promoting and maintaining the highest standards for the teaching of singing. We strive to continually develop our program with the latest research in vocal science. We also offer education in other essential aspects of singing and performance in order to meet the needs and interests of singers and voice instructors worldwide. We view ourselves as partners and mentors of—and a continuing support team for—the students and teachers who are involved in our organization. A sense of community, trust, and transparency is essential to us. Rather than revolving around a single person, our method of vocal technique is developed and refined as an outgrowth of our uncompromising search for truth and knowledge regarding the workings of the human voice. We seek to inspire a passion for excellence in teaching and to connect vocal instructors of the world together in order to share, learn, and grow.

The Institute for Women's Policy Research conducts rigorous research and disseminates its findings to address the needs of women, promote public dialogue, and strengthen families, communities, and societies. It is the leading think tank in the U.S. focusing primarily on domestic women’s issues. Founded in 1987, IWPR’s reports and other informational resources have informed policies and programs across the U.S., in each of its key program areas: Employment, Education, & Economic Change; Democracy & Society; Poverty, Welfare, & Income Security; Work & Family; and Health & Safety.
