SGOA ist ein Verein unter Schweizer Recht. Der Vorstand der SGOA besteht zur Zeit aus sechs Personen: Clara-Ann Gordon, Vorsitzende; Hanneke Slager, Quästorin und als Mitglieder des Vorstandes; Pieter Schoehuijs, Antonius Kromwijk, Rolf Weber und Richard Kershaw. Gemäss den Statuten der SGOA obliegt dem Vorstand der SGOA die Leitung des Vereins. Folglich bestimmt der Vorstand die Geschäftsordnung und deren gegebenenfalls erforderliche Abänderungen, und übernimmt auch die Verantwortung für die finanziellen Angelegenheiten. Der Vorstand entscheidet ebenfalls in den von der Geschäftsordnung nicht geregelten Fällen. Das Kernstück der SGOA besteht aus den bei der SGOA aufgelisteten Juristen und Sachverständigen - allesamt hervorragende Spezialisten ihres jeweiligen Fachgebiets. Alle Juristen haben sich in einem gewissen Grad im ICT Recht spezialisiert, währendem die Sachverständigen eine ausgeprägte Affinität zum Recht aufweisen. An ihre Fachkompetenz, Erfahrung und insbesondere die Unabhängigkeit stellen wir hohe Anforderungen. Die Juristen und Sachverständigen sind nicht Vereinsmitglieder der SGOA, sondern sie handeln unabhängig vom Vorstand und tragen die Endverantwortung für die Urteile, Feststellungsvereinbarungen, Stellungnahmen sowie die von ihnen erstellten Sachverständigengutachten.
