Founded in 1988, the Idaho Community Foundation is the fourth largest foundation in Idaho. Our assets are over $130 million and we have nearly 600 charitable funds. Last year, we distributed 1,600 grants to communities totaling $8.6 million. Our goal is to provide Idaho individuals, families and companies with endowed and non-endowed fund options to manage their charitable giving, now or through their estate planning. We have a strong record of steady, stable investment growth with ensures a reliable, permanent funding resource for Idaho nonprofits. Our return on investment for endowed funds is 19%. We support the work of nonprofits through our grantmaking and community partnerships. We have charitable funds that nonprofits, school foundations and other organizations can establish that will provide temporary or permanent support for their work.

Idaho Correctional Industries is an offender training program. It teaches marketable work and life skills. We are committed to training offenders to successfully re-enter society. The skills attained help offenders obtain gainful employment. Idaho Correctional Industries recidivism rate is 26.3% for an offender staying in our training program for at least one year. By law, Idaho Correctional Industries can only sell to what are called “Authorized Markets.” These markets include city, county, state and government agencies; non-profits; secondary schools, colleges and universities. In addition to those markets are approved retailers and wholesalers that resell Idaho Correctional Industries products.
