Inzicht in actuele kennis van zorgprofessionals is onmisbaar voor het ontwikkelen van (bij)scholing. Ideon meet kennis en analyseert de resultaten met haar Kennismonitoren via online vragenlijsten. Met deze analyses biedt de Kennismonitor een praktisch en wetenschappelijk gevalideerd instrument om op basis van gemeten kennis scholing op maat te ontwikkelen én de effectiviteit ervan te meten. Zorgaanbieders investeren vaak nog weinig in het naar behoefte opleiden van medewerkers die de daadwerkelijke zorg verlenen. Tot dusverre ontbraken effectieve instrumenten om vooraf inzicht te krijgen in de kennisbehoefte en achteraf het resultaat van de opleiding vast te stellen. De Kennismonitoren van Ideon bieden een objectief en onafhankelijk meetinstrument en tillen zo het effectief (bij)scholen in de zorg naar een hoger plan. De Kennismonitoren geven antwoord op de vraag of zorgprofessionals van verschillende niveaus over de juiste kennis en vaardigheden beschikken om tot de meest optimale zorg te komen. Ze meten kennis van medewerkers op specifieke themas op het gebied van dementie en kwetsbaarheid. Na afloop van de (bij)scholing is er ook een vervolgmeting om het effect te meten. De resultaten en analyse bieden de mogelijkheid om op basis van gemeten kennisbehoefte te scholen en niet per definitie generiek. Dit betekent kostenbesparingen en betere kwaliteit van zorg. De Kennismonitoren zijn i.s.m. het Radboud UMC ontwikkeld en zijn een gevalideerd instrument om kennis te testen en te analyseren.
