Jamaica Coffee Company’s founder, Paul Murphy has a long history of working closely with some of Italy’s best known Artisan Food & Wine producers and opened the first unit in March 2000 T/A, Il Caffe di Napoli’ a quintessential Italian Restaurant & Caffe on Westland Row Dublin, Situated close to the Trinity College Campus, Merrion Square Business District, Government Buildings and the National Gallery of Ireland, Since our maiden opening in 2000 we have worked with many large institutions and company’s one of the first and most interesting was trinity college Dublin Napoli first partnered with Trinity College’ Dublin in the Trinity Technology & Enterprise Centre on Grand Canal Quay Dublin, with the opening of a bespoke Caffe / Restaurant unit in the historic Main Tower Building, Due to the success of this Caffe unit we were invited by Trinity College to tender for the operation of the World’s First Science Gallery on Pearse Street Dublin, a significant part of this process was firstly to understand the aims and ethos of the new Science Gallery We quickly recognized the need for a new type of restaurant that allowed for both social gatherings and as a meeting place for students and professionals to discuss and share ideas attracting a broad range of people of all ages, Later we were invited to partner with Irish Rail in developing some bespoke Caffe Units for the then expanding Dart / Luas Lines, Il Caffe Di Napoli has over time exceeded all of our original expectations. The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) began in 1963 as the Festival Office, with a mandate to develop and promote the creative talents and cultural expressions of the Jamaican people. Its function is also to ensure that the nations cultural heritage is preserved and sustained for the benefit of future generations. It also organises the annual Independence celebrations and other events of national significance. In the years since its inception, thousands of Jamaicans have benefited from its programmes in dance, traditional folk forms, speech and drama, music, culinary arts, fine arts, photography and literary arts. The Commission has been able to expose and nurture the talents of renowned practitioners such as Professor Mervyn Morris, Kapo, Barrington Watson, Lennie Little-White, Stephen Cat" Coore, Joan Andrea Hutchinson, Fae Ellington, Steven Woodham and Susan Alexander. The Commission fulfills its mandate primarily through its annual Festival of the Arts, with national competitions in the performing arts, literary arts, fine arts and culinary arts.

VISION STATEMENT A modern customs administration, delivering excellent service, fostering compliance and contributing to our national development and protection of society. OUR ROLE Jamaica Customs Agency has three specific mandates: The equitable collection of revenue, protection of borders against illicit imports and the facilitation of trade. JCA carries out these functions by: - Assessing and collecting customs duties, fees, and penalties due on imports; - Interdicting and seizing contraband, including narcotics and illegal drugs; - Processing passengers, baggage, cargo and mail; - Detecting and apprehending persons engaged in fraudulent practices designed to circumvent Customs related laws; - Protecting Jamaica's industries, labour and intellectual property rights by enforcing Jamaica's laws intended to prevent illegal trade practices, including provisions related to quotas; the Anti-Dumping Act; and by providing Customs Records for copyrights, patents and trademarks; - Protecting the general welfare and security of Jamaica by enforcing import and export restrictions and prohibitions, including money laundering. All customs activities are governed by the Customs Act. In addition to its own laws, Customs enforces over 125 other provisions of law for other agencies.
