The Jackson Chance Foundation is an Illinois non-for-profit, tax exempt 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to providing resources to families with babies in neonatal intensive care unites (NICU). Our mission is to provide support to NICU families, allowing them to spend more time with their baby. By contributing to the Jackson Chance Foundation, you help families be with their critically ill child, thus enriching and potentially extending their life. The Jackson Chance Foundation is a charity providing complimentary parking and transportation to families with babies in the NICU, allowing families to spend more life-improving time with their children. The Jackson Chance Foundation’s mission was inspired by co-founders Carrie and Terry Meghie after the passing of their son, Jackson Chance, who spent all but 48 hours of his ten-month life in the NICU. Carrie and Terry were fortunate to have the resources and support to spend each and every day with Jackson, a factor they firmly believe contributed to the happiness and length of his short life. Nationally, parking at NICUs is a major hurdle for new parents ranging from $4,200/month in New York City to $1,800/month in Chicago; the average NICU stay is 27 days, and most babies are there for many months. The Meghies witnessed families struggling to pay for parking; parents desperate to see their children, but held back with work commitments; mothers and fathers forced to leave their babies alone in the NICU despite their best efforts to visit. The Jackson Chance Foundation ensures that the financial burden of parking and transportation does not stand in the way of any parent seeing their child. In partnership with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, JCF created the NICU Transportation Program, which provides complimentary transportation to all families, each and every day their child is in the NICU and is fully funded by the Jackson Chance Foundation.

Jackson College was founded as Jackson Junior College in 1928 and operated as a division of the Jackson Union School District, sharing lab and library facilities with the high school. In 1962, Jackson County voters created Jackson Community College as a distinct entity; and in 1964, they passed a charter millage that still helps to fund the College today. Rapid enrollment and program growth in the 1960s spurred the College to build a new campus on its present site. Today, the College owns more than 500 acres and sits on a scenic rural site six miles south of the city of Jackson, and also operates JC @ LISD TECH in Adrian and the Clyde E. LeTarte Center - Hillsdale. In June 2013, in light of the College's decision to begin the development of the curriculum for bachelor's degree programs and increased efforts in international studies, the Board of Trustees voted to change the name to Jackson College.

The mission of JCAS is to provide a quality environment and a secure and superior quality of life through the provision of public education, emergency medical services, and rescue services, to those who live, visit, work, or invest in Jackson County. JCAS accomplishes its mission through prevention, education, medical services, and other related emergency and non-emergency activities. JCAS staff actively participate in our county's civil and social fabric, serve as role models, and strive to effectively and efficiently utilize all of the necessary resources at their command to provide a product deemed excellent by our citizens. The business office staff are available to assist with all reimbursement services. The emergency medical staff is available 24 x 7 x 365 to serve every medical emergency in Jackson County.

The Mission of the Jackson County Developmental Center, Inc. (JCDC) is to provide quality support for life training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Since 1979, JCDC's purpose is to assist people with disabilities with support in their life and in employment, both with sheltered employment and community based employment. We help individuals find, obtain & retain jobs in their communities. We help families by simply offering a safe place during the day, or helping individuals grow into being who they want to be. JCDC is committed to the development of "green" lines of business such as recycling of materials and wiper cloth product lines.

Welcome to the official Jackson County Fire District 3 Linkedin page! The District’s vision is to reduce or eliminate the risk from fire, rescue, and medical events in the communities we serve. This vision is intended to make sure that you, our customer, receive the best possible service for your tax dollars. We strive to meet this vision in everything we do. The District provides fire suppression, emergency medical, and rescue services to just over 54,000 residents living in the communities of Central Point, White City, Eagle Point, Gold Hill, Sams Valley, Dodge Bridge, and Agate Lake. The District’s 64 full-time employees and 18 volunteers work from four career stations and four volunteer stations to provide coverage to the 167 square miles that encompass the District. The District responded to 8,368 emergency incidents in 2019. The District provides technical rescue services for those who are trapped or hurt on the river or when climbing or hiking in the rugged environment and is authorized by the State of Oregon to provide medical transport when Mercy Flights Ambulance is delayed.
