Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan (JA) empowers young people to own their economic success. JA is a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers — all working together to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential. JA’s hands-on, experiential programs teach the key concepts of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy to young people. Last year, more than 61,000 kids ages K-12th grade were engaged in Southeastern Michigan by JA programming. These programs include professional business volunteers entering the classroom, job shadows, and interactive budget management at Quicken Loans Finance Park. Interested in making a lasting impact by sharing your financial skills with our next generation? Register to volunteer at jamichigan.org/volunteer. higher education
At Junior Achievement, we give young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices. Our corporate and community volunteers deliver relevant, hands-on experiences that give students from kindergarten through high school knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. JA programs empower students to make a connection between what they learn in school and how it can be applied in the real world – enhancing the relevance of their classroom learning and increasing their understanding of the value of staying in school.
