Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore is a private Engineering College started in 1984 under the auspices of Ramanandha Adigalar Foundation, a charitable educational trust of Sakthi Group. Situated in a sprawling 156-acre campus in the IT corridor of Coimbatore, KCT is an autonomous institution affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). KCT was granted Five Year Accreditation status in its first cycle of accreditation. Later, in the second cycle, with a CGPA of 3.21 on 4.0 scale, A Grade was awarded which was valid till 02 December 2021. In July 2022, following the NAAC Peer Team visit for third cycle of accreditation, KCT has been awarded A++ Grade, the highest grade awarded to institutions by NAAC with KCT securing a CGPA of 3.62 on a 4 – point scale. And all the eligible UG programs have also been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). M.Balasubramaniam, Correspondent and the foresightedness of Sri. The Rich Heritage of Kumbakonam Filter Coffee Coffee is something of a cultural icon in Kerala, Andhra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. It is customary to offer a cup of coffee to any visitor. Coffee was originally introduced by Baba Budan to South India in 17th century and became very popular under the British Rule. Until the middle of the 20th century traditional households would not use granulated sugar but used jaggery or honey, instead in coffee. South Indian Kumbakonam Filter Coffee, also known as Filter Coffee is a sweet milky coffee made from dark roasted coffee beans (70%-80%) and chicory (20%-30%), especially popular in the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka & Andhra Pradesh. The most commonly used coffee beans are Arabica and Robusta is gr in the hills of Tamil Nadu (Nilgiris District, Yercaud and Kodaikanal), Karnataka (Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru and Hassan), and Kerala (Malabar region). Outside India, a coffee drink prepared using a filter may be known as Filter Coffee or as Drip Coffee as the water passes through the grounds solely by gravity and not under pressure or in longer-term contact. Kumbakonam Filter Coffee is brewed with a metal device that resembles two cylindrical cups, one of which has a pierced bottom that nests into the top of the "tumbler" cup, leaving ample room underneath to receive the brewed coffee. The upper cup has two removable parts: a pierced pressing disc with a central stem handle, and a covering lid. (A similar device is used to brew Vietnamese coffee.)

Kumho Tire (Kumho Tyres) in Australia was established in 1960 as part of the Kumho Asiana Group. Kumho Tire has grown to the 7th largest company in Korea. Kumho Tires runs three manufacturing facilities in South Korea: the Pyeongtaek Plant, the Gokseong Plant and the Gwangju Plant which includes the Kumho Research and Development center mentioned below. There are a further three plants in China: the Tianjin Plant, the Gaoxin Plant (in Nanjing) and the Changchun Plant. There is also one plant in Vietnam in the Binh Duong Province.
