Kwaliteitsregister Paramedici maakt werk van kwaliteit in de paramedische zorg. Hoe? Door te toetsen of een paramedicus voldoet aan de kwaliteitseisen van zijn of haar beroepsgroep. Het KP doet dit voor ergotherapeuten, diëtisten, huidtherapeuten, logopedisten, MBB’ers (radiodiagnost, radiotherapeut en medisch nucleair werker), oefentherapeuten, optometristen, orthoptisten en podotherapeuten. Deze beroepen hebben met elkaar gemeen dat ze geregeld zijn in de Wet BIG en beschermde titels hebben. Inmiddels zijn ruim 40.000 paramedici geregistreerd. Kwaliteitsregister Paramedici is een onafhankelijke netwerkorganisatie die samenwerkt met de paramedische beroepsgroepen. Cliënten, zorgverzekeraars en werkgevers kunnen de registers raadplegen om te zien of een paramedicus is vermeld in het Kwaliteitsregister en daarmee voldoet aan de kwaliteitseisen.
