At Kids Above All, we believe young people who have experienced trauma can become independent adults who live meaningful, productive lives. Since 1894, our mission has been to protect, heal and educate children and families so they can build better lives. Last year, Kids Above All served 2,541 young people and families in Cook, DuPage, Kane and Lake counties, who experienced trauma. We are experts in trauma-informed care, helping our youth on their healing journey so they can have the best possible life. Our programs include early childhood learning for children living in poverty, foster care and adoption services for youth who have suffered abuse and neglect, housing for teens and homeless young adults, and counseling.

KAH is a program whose purpose is to feed starving and malnourished children and adults, both in the US and internationally. A typical event has 200 volunteers, who pack a total of 50,000 meals within 4 hours! Ages 8 to 88 can help pack meals--a wonderful experience for families to work together to help the community.
