Komisi Yudisial Republik Indonesia atau cukup disebut Komisi Yudisial (disingkat KY RI atau KY) adalah lembaga negara yang dibentuk berdasarkan Undang-Undang Dasar Negara Republik Indonesia Tahun 1945 yang berwenang mengusulkan pengangkatan hakim agung dan mempunyai wewenang lain dalam rangka menjaga dan menegakkan kehormatan, keluhuran martabat, serta perilaku hakim. Komisi Yudisial merupakan lembaga negara yang bersifat mandiri dan dalam pelaksanaan wewenangnya bebas dari campur tangan atau pengaruh kekuasaan lainnya.Komisi Yudisial bertanggungjawab kepada publik melalui DPR, dengan cara menerbitkan laporan tahunan dan membuka akses informasi secara lengkap dan akurat. Wewenang : Sesuai Pasal 13 Undang-Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2011 tentang Perubahan Atas Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2004 tentang Komisi Yudisial, Komisi Yudisial mempunyai wewenang: 1. Mengusulkan pengangkatan hakim agung dan hakim ad hoc di Mahkamah Agung kepada DPR untuk mendapatkan persetujuan; 2. Menjaga dan menegakkan kehormatan, keluhuran martabat, serta perilaku hakim; 3. Menetapkan Kode Etik dan/atau Pedoman Perilaku Hakim (KEPPH) bersama-sama dengan Mahkamah Agung; 4. Menjaga dan menegakkan pelaksanaan Kode Etik dan/atau Pedoman Perilaku Hakim (KEPPH). Tugas : Berdasarkan Pasal 14 Undang-Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2011, dalam melaksanakan wewenang sebagaimana dimaksud dalam Pasal 13 huruf a, yaitu mengusulkan pengangkatan hakim agung dan hakim ad hoc di Mahkamah Agung kepada DPR untuk mendapatkan persetujuan, maka Komisi Yudisial mempunyai tugas: 1. Melakukan pendaftaran calon hakim agung; 2. Melakukan seleksi terhadap calon hakim agung; 3. Menetapkan calon hakim agung; dan 4. Mengajukan calon hakim agung ke DPR.
