Little Wings is a not for profit organisation that provides a professional, free and safe flight and ground transport service for children from rural and regional NSW to access specialised medical services and treatment in major centres. Our aim is to support families to reduce the financial burden, emotional strain, and travel fatigue associated with long distance travel. Little Wings’ objective is to provide support and care to seriously ill children & their families to lessen the impact of this traumatic event. We support these families by: • Reducing travel fatigue – lessening the travel fatigue experienced by repeatedly travelling by road, public transport or commercial flight; • Financial assistance – lessening the financial burden associated with long distance travel and time away from the parents’ employment; • Family time – returning children home in a timely and safe manner, even during short breaks in treatment, enabling the families to remain together as much as possible. This improves the child’s quality of life, recovery process and family cohesiveness; • Urgent assistance – providing urgent short notice transport services for family members to support their sick child; • Health of children a priority – increasing the effectiveness of the child’s treatment by not having them exposed to the risk of infection associated with travelling on public transport and commercial flights.

Littlebearabroad wants to make the expat and immigrant experience a more family-orientated one. Every member of the family to be supported in their transition to a new life in Sweden. Littlebearabroads vision is to make sure that international families, who would normally fall between the integration cracks, are supported and nurtured, too. To be of service to international families by ensuring that they have the knowledge, resources, opportunities, and services at their finger tips. To lower the percentage of international families, and talent, returning to their home countries because of culture shock, failure to integrate, and marginalisation.
