Lošinjska Plovidba Turizam d.o.o. is founded 01.04.1974. Beginnings of LPT d.o.o. starts in month of june in 1972. Turistic agency - exchange office, ticket selling, postcard selling. First campsite - Poljana 1973. than Rapoća 1975., first restaurant 1976., Y/C Marina 1978., airport 1984., a/c Lopari 1984. The Lošinjska plovidba-Turizam tourist activity began in 1969 when the Marina ferry boat that has been connecting the island of Lošinj with Zadar, Pula and Venice for years was purchased. For that reason, in 1974, the agency was founded to sell tickets for those routes but as well as for other excursion and route programs and today it mediates in renting private and hotel accommodation, organizes and sells excursions and is in charge of other agency works. Tourism has been developing on the island ever more rapidly over the years, and the existing capacities were not able to cope with the increasing number of guests. A particular lack of capacities was felt within the accommodation in camp sites. In 1975 the Rapoća camp site was opened offering just basic accommodation services and today it has developed into a real, small family camp site. 10 years later, in 1985, the Lopari camp site was opened too, and today it is famous for its wide variety and active holidays. The Y/C Marina has been operating in the same location for 36 years and offers its guests accommodation for their boats on land, in the sea and in an indoor hall as well as all other services. Lošinjska plovidba-Turizam d.o.o. has won many national and international awards during its 40 years of existence. Amongst the international awards an award won in 2000 for its 25th anniversary must be mentioned celebrating the successful and quality work it does and assigned by the Trade Leaders Club from Madrid as well as a high level Five continents award for quality and excellence in Geneva in 2008.
