Lueur & Élégance est une association étudiante de l’International EDHEC BBA, groupe EDHEC, crée en 2009, dédiée à la lutte contre le cancer du sein. Le but premier de notre association est d’organiser un grand défilé, sur le campus de l'EDHEC, mettant en scène des femmes atteintes ou ayant été atteintes par cette maladie. Nous souhaitons avant tout accompagner ces femmes dans cette épreuve difficile, les soutenir et les aider à reprendre confiance en elles. Nous souhaitons donner l’opportunité à ces femmes d’être sous le feu des projecteurs et de montrer à quel point elles sont belles et courageuses. Alors que cette maladie est souvent synonyme d’isolement et de perte des attraits féminins, nous voulons les aider à reprendre confiance en elles et leurs montrer qu’elles ne sont pas seules. Faire défiler ces femmes leur donne l’occasion, tout comme aux spectateurs, de vivre un moment unique et inoubliable qui représente énormément de choses à leurs yeux et à ceux de leurs proches. Notre objectif est également de sensibiliser un maximum toutes les femmes et tous les hommes à cette maladie dévastatrice. Tous les bénéfices de cette soirée exceptionnelle seront reversés à la Ligue contre le Cancer qui depuis 1918, soutient et accompagnent les personnes atteintes du cancer tout en favorisant la recherche contre cette maladie. Améliorer la qualité de vie des personnes atteintes, soutenir les proches dans ce parcours parfois très délicat et faire changer les mentalités face à la maladie, tels sont les désirs de la Ligue que nous partageons pleinement.
