Luna VR Inc. is an innovative technology company that is "Changing the way you see healthcare"​. Our company is a start-up that is focusing on using virtual reality (VR) to decrease the pain and fear responses children and adults have to needles and different medical procedures. We are currently focusing on launching our children's VR vaccine app. We are starting demos for the product in May 2019. To use our product, a child and their parent(s) would simply enter a doctor’s office, pharmacy, and/or any other location that offers Luna VR Vaccines. The child will put on a VR headset and instantly be immersed in a VR world, where they are greeted by a girl and her dog who help them become a superhero and save a village. The story the child/adult sees in VR is also seen by the healthcare worker who is following step by step to sync the VR world actions, with the real world application. Instead of a child or adult having to see the alcohol/sterilization process and needles, they see age-appropriate characters who interact with them and use different magical abilities to distract them from their fears and pain. This process is seamless for the client, child, parent, and health care worker. Distraction techniques, as well as calm, consistent characters, are what change how the child and adult see and perceive the vaccine and hopefully their future vaccines. Luna VR Inc. was started by a registered nurse, who has experienced first hand the pain and struggle her patients have to cope with their fears of different medical procedures. Naomi, the CEO is also a Type 1 Diabetic and was recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, so her personal experience with needles and pain contribute greatly to the need to create this company. We are working with an incredible company called Stambol Studios to create the most up to date and amazing VR experience you can have.
